Nerding out, MBTI Style

So, I do apologize for all the Myers-Briggs talk last night! But since you all seemed interested, I thought I would post some links to explore type and personality.

For those of you who had miss last night's meeting, we had a great discussion about the book, followed by a great discussion about personality style. Some of us speak freely and others are more reserved - but we all want to contribute.

If you have not taken the Myers-Briggs, you can do a rough version here:

As an official MBTI person I have to give the caveat that it is not the "real thing." Take it and compare your results to this page:

... to be sure it feels accurate. The second link also gives an interpretation of your four letter type.

I'm an INFJ, and the dominant type in the US as we discussed last night is an ESTJ.

vonnegut's fiction, minus one

I was told to avoid Slapstick for a first read, other than that, here are wikipedia links to Vonnegut's fiction. Shall we say vote on three?

panels to stills

Since Malka posted about the trailer, I thought I'd link to the GEEKANERD blog (yes you are in the land of the truly dorky now) where they took a few stills from the trailer and compared them to panels from the comic. See lots of side by sides here and here. Although it looks like they kept pretty faithful to the comic, I'm glad I will have read it first.

i was told (at my bookclub) there'd be an HBO series...

Oh yeah, here are those other Sloane-y bits I was talking about:

According to a NY Observer article from June:

TV rights for I Was Told There'd Be Cake, the best-selling essay collection by Vintage publicist Sloane Crosley, have been sold to HBO for series development. This according to an announcement posted on the Publisher's Marketplace bulletin board over the weekend.

Also, the details on that Sloane diorama is over at Gawker, and it looks like they feature everyone's favorite essay about a bathroom mystery.
